PROMOTING EUROPE’S MOST DISTINGUISHED ART FAIR SINCE 2008

BRAFA is one of the world’s most prestigious art fairs. Launched in 1956, BRAFA hosts over 130 international galleries specialising in the finest design and art from antiquity to the 21st century. And while its 8-day show in Brussels heralds the start of the global art calendar, BRAFA is a year-round community of galleries.

Brief and approach
Helen Edwards Public Relations was appointed in 2008 to spread BRAFA’s message throughout the English-speaking world, and they remain a foundational client today. Alongside promotion, messaging, activations – including regular events with the Belgian ambassador at the embassy – and announcements, HEPR organises two major press trips to Belgium each year – the first to the fair itself and the second to visit the participating galleries and studios throughout the country.

Event Spotlight: Gilbert & George at the Royal Academy
As an example of these activations, Helen Edwards Public Relations organised a special BRAFA and Apollo Magazine media event in London’s Royal Academy starring BRAFA’s guests of honour, the contemporary artists Gilbert & George.
